Hello, young lovers! We are gathered here today to talk about Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. Kristen's preconceived notions of Will's romanticism are shattered, tears are on the verge of being shed, and passionate discussion abounds. It's basically a love fest. Group hug!
We'll be back next week with an Extracurriculars episode, but remember to be ready to talk about the first 18 chapters of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Thursday, September 4th. Talk to you then! We're both dreading the end but looking forward to it.
See you next week!
Welcome to our talk finishing up Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. While we're happy to see you, it can't be ignored that this time we meet this time after the most solemn of events. Let's pour out a little pumpkin juice for one of our fallen comrades. Let's also freak out about how awesome Dumbledore is. Let's also talk about how there's no such thing as a guilty pleasure and how I love watching crap tv. Amen.
On the next Shmook Club we're going to invite our friend Bobby Koester back to the Shmook Clubhouse to talk about the first half of Watchmen by Alan Moore, so read up to Chapter 7 (meaning through Chapter 6, WILL) and be ready to talk about it on Thursday, June 26. But we'll be back next week with an Extracurricular episode, so talk to you then! Take 'er easy!
See you next week!
This week on Book Club Shmook Club we tell the sordid tale of Let's Sing Along with Brett Ambler, a weird little tape Krissy was in 20 years ago!
The best part comes at about 3 minutes, 49 seconds, but you should probably just watch the whole thing!
We're going to contact that charismatic host and see what happens! Anyway, this is also your wake up call: We're talking about the end of The Gunslinger next week! Will Kristen enjoy it enough to read more?? PROBABLY NOT! But either way, the Dark Tower series will appear in the future, trust me

See you next week for another new episode of The Shmooks!!
